Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Huntington Woods?
None of the gutter companies on this list are based in Huntington Woods. The closest is Prestige Gutter Systems in Roseville, about 11.6 miles away. The Brothers That Just Do Gutters is in Farmington Hills, BTG Gutters is in Garden City and Great Lakes Gutter is in Livonia. Ackerman Gutters lists Macomb and Oakland County as its service area, which includes Huntington Woods.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
If your roof and gutters both need work, plan them together but in the right order. Gutters go on after the roof, never before. Roof work happens at the roof edge where gutters hang, so putting gutters up first risks damage or a second visit. If your gutters are still in good shape, they may not need replacing at all. Have a gutter company look at them once the roof is done.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
It depends on how many trees are near your house. Guards keep leaves and debris out of gutters and downspouts, so you clean them less often. With few trees overhead, regular cleaning may cost less. Every company on this list offers guards or leaf protection, including BroGuard from The Brothers That Just Do Gutters. Ask for prices with and without guards. Work over $600 falls under Michigan licensing, so ask who holds the license.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only. We send our own customers to Ackerman Gutters, which is run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. Roofing Army does inspect roofs for free in Huntington Woods, so if you are planning new gutters, it can make sense to check the roof first, since gutters go on after the roof, never before.
