Chicago Drive, M-6, and I-196 put a crew in Grandville in under ten minutes, in Wyoming and Byron Center in about fifteen, and in most Grand Rapids neighborhoods in about twenty.

The housing here spans every era a roofer sees. Grand Rapids' older neighborhoods, from Heritage Hill and Eastown to the Southwest side, carry steep-pitched homes from the late 1800s through the 1920s with original plank decking and complex rooflines. Wyoming and Grandville filled in after the war with 1950s through 1970s ranches and split-levels, most of them now on their second or third roof. Byron Center added large subdivisions through the 2000s and 2010s, so entire streets there reach the end of their first roof at the same time.
