Ottawa County is Roofing Army's first West Michigan territory. Our Jenison office at 1364 Baldwin St sits in Georgetown Charter Township, the most populous township in the county, just off I-196 and Chicago Drive between Grandville and Hudsonville. From there a crew can be on a roof anywhere in the eastern half of the county, or across the line into the Grand Rapids suburbs of Kent County, in well under half an hour.

Roofs here work harder than roofs on the other side of the state. Lake Michigan lake-effect snow gives the Grand Rapids area roughly 70 to 80 inches a year against about 45 in Metro Detroit, so ice damming, ice-and-water coverage at the eaves, and attic ventilation are not fine print in Ottawa County, they are the whole job. Jenison and Hudsonville grew fast from the 1960s onward as Grand Rapids commuter towns, which means a lot of ranches and split-levels now on their second or third roof, alongside the big 1990s and 2000s subdivisions that filled in Georgetown and Jamestown Townships.
