Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Macomb Township?
None of the companies listed here are based in Macomb Township. The closest ones are Discount Seamless Gutters in Washington, about 5.8 miles away, and Legit Gutter Company in Rochester Hills, about 7.9 miles away. Prestige Gutter Systems is in Roseville and Christiaan's Gutters LLC is in Warren. Ackerman Gutters describes its service area as Macomb and Oakland County.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
If both need work, plan them together but do the roof first. Gutters go on after the roof, never before. Roof work happens right at the edge where gutters hang, so installing new gutters first puts them at risk. Once the roof is done, a gutter company can measure and install a system that fits the finished roof edge. Remember that gutter work over $600 falls under Michigan licensing, so ask who holds the license.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
It depends on your home. Guards make the most sense when trees drop leaves, seeds or needles on your roof and you are cleaning gutters several times a year. Several companies on this list install them, including Ackerman Gutters, Discount Seamless Gutters and Prestige Gutter Systems. Ackerman Gutters also has a guide on its website about whether gutter guard is worth it. Ask each company which guard style they install and how it handles heavy debris.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only. When our customers need gutters, we send them to Ackerman Gutters, which is run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. Gutters go on after the roof, so if you are planning both, start with the roof. Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Macomb Township, which can help you decide whether roof work should come before new gutters.
