Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a plumber based in Romeo?
Yes. Three of the companies on this list are based in Romeo: ANDLL Plumbing, Roncelli & Son's Plumbing and Allied Plumbing & Sewer Service. Aaron Swift Plumbing & Sewer Service, Inc. is in Washington, next to Romeo, and serves Romeo. Sigma Pro Plumbing LLC is based in Macomb, about 11.6 miles away, and also serves Romeo. A plumber close by can often get to you sooner when something goes wrong.
How do I verify a plumber's license in Michigan?
Michigan requires plumbing contractors to hold a state license issued through LARA's Bureau of Construction Codes. Ask for the license number and check it on the state's license lookup before any work starts. Make sure the name on the license matches the company you are hiring. It also helps to ask for proof of insurance and to get the scope of work and the price in writing.
Do I need a permit for plumbing work in Romeo?
It depends on the job. Larger work such as replacing a water heater, adding fixtures, changing supply or drain piping, or sewer line repairs often needs a permit and an inspection. Small repairs, like fixing a leaky faucet or clearing a clog, usually do not. Check with the local building department that covers your address. A licensed plumber can tell you whether your job needs a permit and will often pull it for you.
Does Roofing Army do plumbing?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only, so we do not take on plumbing work. For plumbing, call one of the companies listed above. Plumbing vents go through the roof, and a cracked vent boot is one of the most common leaks we find on inspections. If you notice a stain on the ceiling near a vent pipe, Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Romeo.
