Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a tree service based in Brandon Township?
None of the listed tree services are based in Brandon Township, but several work nearby. The Tree Meister LLC is based about 2.9 miles away, Mr. Stump is in the Village of Clarkston about 5.5 miles away, and K N K Tree Service, LLC is in Goodrich about 5.8 miles away. Timber Beast Tree Service in Oxford and Turman's Tree & Landscape in Lake Orion also serve the township.
Should I trim trees before a roof replacement in Brandon Township?
Yes. Overhanging limbs scrape shingles, drop debris into valleys and gutters, and shade roofs so they stay wet. We recommend trimming anything within ten feet of the roof. Doing it before a replacement keeps branches and debris off the new shingles and gives the roofing crew clear access. Michigan does not license tree services, so ask for a certificate of liability and workers' compensation insurance before anyone climbs.
Does homeowners insurance cover tree removal in Michigan?
Coverage depends on your policy. Read the sections on trees and debris removal, then call your agent or insurer before work starts. Ask whether a tree that hits your house, garage or fence is treated differently from one that falls in the open yard, and whether any limits apply to removal costs. Keep photos of the damage and the tree service's invoice. Routine trimming of healthy trees is generally treated as homeowner maintenance.
Does Roofing Army remove trees?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only and does not remove or trim trees. For tree work, contact one of the tree services listed here. If limbs have been hanging over your roof or a tree has come down on it, Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Brandon Township and can check for scraped shingles, debris in valleys and gutters, or damage from the impact.
