Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Hazel Park?
None of the gutter companies on this list are based in Hazel Park. The closest is Midwest Gutter Cleaning in Livonia, about 14.6 miles away, followed by The Brothers That Just Do Gutters in Farmington Hills at about 16.2 miles. Great Lakes Gutter is also in Livonia. Ackerman Gutters lists Macomb and Oakland County as its service area, and Hazel Park is in Oakland County.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
If your gutters are old, leaking or damaged, it makes sense to replace them around the same time as a roof replacement. The order matters: gutters go on after the roof, never before. That way the roof work at the edges is finished first and the new gutters are not disturbed. If your gutters still work well, you may not need new ones. Ask your roofer and gutter company to coordinate the schedule.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
Gutter guards can cut down on cleaning for homes near trees, since leaves and seeds are a common cause of clogs. They reduce maintenance but may not remove it entirely. Every company on this list installs guards, and Ackerman Gutters has a blog post on whether gutter guard is worth it. Ask for a quote with and without guards so you can compare the cost against what you pay for cleaning each year.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only and does not install gutters. Roofing Army sends its own customers to Ackerman Gutters, a family owned company run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. Gutters go on after the roof, so if you are planning both, it helps to schedule the roof first. Roofing Army also inspects roofs for free in Hazel Park.
