Gutters are the cheapest part of a roof system and the one that fails most often, usually from a bad install. We pulled every gutter company Google lists in Sterling Heights, MI, checked which ones actually have an address in town, read their reviews, and went through their websites to build this list.
How we chose this list: Gutter companies are sorted by Google rating weighted by review count. Companies based in Sterling Heights come first, and where the city has fewer than five we added the nearest well-reviewed companies and say where they are based. Ackerman Seamless Gutters is ranked first because it is where we send our own customers; see the disclosure below. This list is updated for 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Sterling Heights?
Yes. Two of the listed companies are in Sterling Heights: Michigan Gutter Man and Valor Gutter Guard Of Michigan. Michigan Gutter Man handles seamless gutter installs, Valor Micromesh guards, repairs and cleaning. Valor Gutter Guard Of Michigan focuses on gutter guards. Prestige Gutter Systems in Roseville and Discount Seamless Gutters in Washington also serve the city from nearby, and Ackerman Gutters covers Macomb and Oakland County.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
Gutters go on after the roof, never before. If a roof replacement is coming up, have the roof done first, then install new gutters so they fit the finished roof edge. If your current gutters are in good shape, a gutter company can tell you whether they can stay. Gutter installation on a home falls under Michigan's residential builder and maintenance and alteration licensing for work over $600. Ask who holds the license.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
It depends on how many trees are near your home and how often your gutters clog. Guards cut down on cleanings and ladder work. One Valor reviewer with a lot of trees says they went a whole summer without a cleaning after needing three or four a year. Several companies on this list install guards, including Michigan Gutter Man, Valor Gutter Guard Of Michigan, Discount Seamless Gutters, Prestige Gutter Systems and Ackerman Gutters.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only and does not install gutters. We send our own customers to Ackerman Gutters, which is run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. If you are planning new gutters, it helps to know the condition of your roof first, since gutters go on after the roof. Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Sterling Heights.
