Exterior paint is the first thing a buyer or a neighbor sees, and prep work is where cheap painters cut corners. We pulled every painting company Google lists in Bloomfield Hills, MI, checked which ones actually have an address in town, read their reviews, and went through their websites to build this list.
How we chose this list: Painting companies are sorted by Google rating weighted by review count. Companies based in Bloomfield Hills come first, and where the city has fewer than five we added the nearest well-reviewed companies and say where they are based. The Exterior Painters is ranked first because it is where we send our own customers; see the disclosure below. This list is updated for 2026.

The other companies on this list serve the city from nearby: Kc Signature Painting Co. from Farmington Hills, Diamond Painting LLC from Rochester Hills, Ellison Painting from Rochester, and The Exterior Painters from offices in Rochester Hills and Plymouth.
When is the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Michigan?
Late spring through early fall is the usual window in Michigan. Paint needs dry surfaces and mild temperatures to cure well, so painters plan around rain, cold nights and morning dew. Check the minimum temperature on the paint label. Good painters book up during the warm months, so it helps to get estimates early in the year and schedule your project before the season fills.

Yes. In Michigan, painting and decorating on a residential structure is a licensed trade. Contractors need a residential builder or maintenance and alteration license from LARA for jobs over $600. Ask for the license number before you hire anyone, and you can confirm it with LARA. It is also reasonable to ask for proof of insurance.
Does Roofing Army do painting?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only. For exterior painting, siding and wood replacement, Roofing Army sends its own customers to The Exterior Painters, which is run by Brian, the brother of Roofing Army's owner Aaron. If your home also needs a look at the roof, Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Bloomfield Hills.
