Best Window Replacement Companies in Auburn Hills, MI (2026)

Based in Auburn Hills, this family-owned business handles what goes on and around the glass rather than the window itself. Its products include custom blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, motorization, window film and retractable awnings, for homes and commercial spaces across Metro Detroit. Several reviewers mention ordering through Costco and being matched with Clear Fortress for the installation. Others describe a consultant who helped them weigh privacy, light control and appearance without making the process overwhelming. Reviewers also mention crews who let them know when they would arrive, worked quickly and accurately, and cleaned as they went. If you have just put in new windows and need coverings to match, this is the type of work they do.

Michigan Glass Coatings has worked with glass since 1979 and installs 3M window films from its Auburn Hills base. The lineup includes solar film to reduce heat, glare and UV damage, plus security film, riot glass, decorative film, switchable film, bird film, custom graphics and Di-Noc resurfacing. Residential and commercial properties are both covered. The website includes a page of warranty information. Reviewers mention staff who explained the different film options patiently and educated them on what would suit their house. One reviewer describes an installer handling a large commercial job with great care. For homeowners who want more comfort from existing windows instead of full replacement, film is the service offered here.

This is a repair business rather than a replacement installer, and it works out of Auburn Hills. Reviewers describe fixes for wood windows, crank windows, sliding windows and door walls, often saving them the cost of new units. One reviewer called in the morning and had a window fixed by early afternoon. Others mention quotes below larger companies, payment only once the job was done well, and extra repairs done without charge. Reviewers also say they got honest feedback when a window could not be saved and truly needed replacement. If your windows are worn but still sound, a repair visit may be worth booking before you price out new ones.

Others describe installation crews who showed up on time and did careful work, plus a rep who followed up after the install to make sure things went smoothly.
