Gutters are the cheapest part of a roof system and the one that fails most often, usually from a bad install. We pulled every gutter company Google lists in Birmingham, MI, checked which ones actually have an address in town, read their reviews, and went through their websites to build this list.
How we chose this list: Gutter companies are sorted by Google rating weighted by review count. Companies based in Birmingham come first, and where the city has fewer than five we added the nearest well-reviewed companies and say where they are based. Ackerman Seamless Gutters is ranked first because it is where we send our own customers; see the disclosure below. This list is updated for 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Birmingham?
None of the gutter companies on this list are based in Birmingham itself. The closest are The Brothers That Just Do Gutters in Farmington Hills, Midwest Gutter Cleaning in Livonia and M & T Seamless Gutters in Waterford Township, all within about 14 miles. Discount Seamless Gutters is based in Washington, and Ackerman Gutters lists service across Macomb and Oakland County. Gutter installation on a home over $600 falls under Michigan residential builder and maintenance and alteration licensing, so ask who holds the license.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
If your roof is due for replacement soon, plan the gutters around it. Gutters go on after the roof, never before, because work along the roof edge can damage or loosen new gutters. If your current gutters leak, sag or are undersized, replacing them right after the new roof lets everything line up cleanly at the edge. If they are in good shape, ask your roofer whether they can stay. Either way, coordinate timing between your roofer and your gutter company.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
For many homes with trees nearby, yes. Guards cut down on the leaves, seeds and needles that clog gutters and cause overflow, which matters most in spring and fall. They do not make gutters maintenance free, so plan on occasional checks. Ackerman Gutters, The Brothers That Just Do Gutters, Discount Seamless Gutters and Midwest Gutter Cleaning all list gutter guard or leaf protection services, so you can compare options and quotes before choosing.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only and does not install gutters. We send our own customers to Ackerman Gutters, which is run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. Gutters go on after the roof, never before, so if you need both, start with the roof. Roofing Army inspects roofs for free in Birmingham and can tell you whether your roof should be handled before new gutters go up.
