Exterior paint is the first thing a buyer or a neighbor sees, and prep work is where cheap painters cut corners. We pulled every painting company Google lists in Oxford, MI, checked which ones actually have an address in town, read their reviews, and went through their websites to build this list.
How we chose this list: Painting companies are sorted by Google rating weighted by review count. Companies based in Oxford come first, and where the city has fewer than five we added the nearest well-reviewed companies and say where they are based. The Exterior Painters is ranked first because it is where we send our own customers; see the disclosure below. This list is updated for 2026.

When is the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Michigan?

Contractors need a residential builder or maintenance and alteration license from LARA for jobs over $600. Before you hire a painter, ask for the license number and look it up with LARA. It is also smart to ask for proof of insurance and a written estimate.
