Gutters are the cheapest part of a roof system and the one that fails most often, usually from a bad install. We pulled every gutter company Google lists in Ferndale, MI, checked which ones actually have an address in town, read their reviews, and went through their websites to build this list.
How we chose this list: Gutter companies are sorted by Google rating weighted by review count. Companies based in Ferndale come first, and where the city has fewer than five we added the nearest well-reviewed companies and say where they are based. Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a gutter company based in Ferndale?
None of the companies listed here are based in Ferndale. The closest is Detroit Gutter Guys, based in Detroit about 5.2 miles away. Prestige Gutter Systems is based in Roseville, about 10.5 miles away. Ackerman Gutters lists service across Macomb and Oakland County, and the others serve Ferndale from Livonia and Farmington Hills. All of them work in the Ferndale area, so distance should not limit your options.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
If you are getting a new roof and your gutters are worn, it can make sense to plan both together. The order matters: gutters go on after the roof, never before. That way the roofing work at the edge of the roof is finished before new gutters are hung. In Michigan, gutter installation over $600 falls under residential builder and maintenance and alteration licensing, so ask who holds the license.
Are gutter guards worth it in Michigan?
Gutter guards help keep leaves and debris out of your gutters, which is most useful if your home sits near trees. They reduce cleaning but do not replace all maintenance. Several companies here install them, including Ackerman Gutters, The Brothers That Just Do Gutters with its BroGuard system, Prestige Gutter Systems and Midwest Gutter Cleaning. Ackerman also has a blog post on whether gutter guards are worth it. Ask each company which guard fits your gutters and trees.
Does Roofing Army install gutters?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only. When our customers need gutters, we send them to Ackerman Gutters, which is run by the brother of Roofing Army's owner. Gutters go on after the roof, so if you need both, start with the roof. Roofing Army also inspects roofs for free in Ferndale, which can help you decide on timing before scheduling any gutter work.
