Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a window company based in Leonard?
None of the companies listed here are based in Leonard. The closest is Peters Glass & Screen Services in Romeo, 6.8 miles away. Clarkston Window & Door is based in Pontiac, 17.4 miles away, and Direct Window Factory, LLC. is based in Sterling Heights, 18.4 miles away. All three serve Leonard homeowners from those locations.
How long does window replacement take?
Most replacement windows are custom made, so the process starts with a measurement appointment and an order. One Direct Window Factory reviewer says their windows were ready to install three weeks after ordering. Installation itself can be quick: another reviewer describes windows and a doorwall installed in a single day. A whole house project with many windows will take longer, so ask each company for a timeline when you get your estimate.
Do window installers need a license in Michigan?
Yes, for larger jobs. Window replacement on a home requires a Michigan residential builder or maintenance and alteration license for work over $600. Ask any company for its license number before you sign. When comparing products, look at ENERGY STAR ratings and the NFRC label, which tell you what the glass actually does.
Does Roofing Army install windows?
No. Roofing Army does roofing only, so we do not install or replace windows. We do offer free roof inspections in Leonard. Windows and roofs share the same ice dam problem: heat loss. That is why we check attic insulation and ventilation on every inspection, which can help you spot energy issues before you replace windows or your roof.
